The Story
As the final light faded along the Maine coastline, the ocean settled into stillness beneath a soft pastel sky. The dark evergreen shoreline rose quietly from the water, creating a gentle contrast against the reflected tones of dusk.

What drew me to this scene was the calm.
The water had settled into near stillness, and the fading sky created soft layers of blue, lavender, and gold across the harbor. I was interested in the way the shoreline, reflection, and open space worked together without competing for attention.
The image felt less like a dramatic landscape and more like a quiet pause. Nothing was moving quickly. Nothing needed to be emphasized. The beauty of the moment came from restraint, balance, and the gentle transition from day into evening.
For me, Quiet Harbor is about stillness, simplicity, and the peaceful rhythm of the coast at the edge of night.
