I am a Nikon shooter and made the move to mirrorless early on with the Nikon Z7. When the Z9 was released, I quickly changed to their flagship camera due to its superior auto-focus system and high frame rate which makes it more suitable for my work. I use two of them while in the field shooting wildlife. Typically one mounted to my long prime lens and the other mounted to my 100-400 lens. It is a fantastic camera and cannot recommend it enough for Nikon shooters.

The above lens are what I currently use in my work. I’ve used a number of other mirrorless (Z-mount) and older DSLR (F-mount) lens in the past which are not listed above. One of the main reasons why I shoot Nikon gear is that I believe their lenses are unequal.

ProMediaGear TR344L Tripod

I’ve used a lot of tripods and supports over the years before I bought my ProMediaGear items. In my opinion, you won’t find a better tripod, monopod or gimbal head.

A good camera bag/case is incredibly important for protecting your gear. The two brands i’ve been using most recently are Mindshift/ThinkTank and Nanuk. They both build very rugged gear that i’ve never had issue with even after many trips.
